Ready to run it as a live schedule?
Plan it in Milesto, freeMost interior fit-outs follow the same order of work. This template starts at Design & Authority Approvals and ends at Handover & Closeout, with 32 activities in between. Starting from a realistic sequence means you adjust durations and links for your job instead of building the programme from a blank sheet.
Each activity has a typical duration in calendar days and finish-to-start links to the activities that must finish before it. Starting from the date you pick, every activity is scheduled as early as its links allow: it starts the day after the last of its predecessors ends. With these durations the whole programme runs 144 calendar days.
Long-lead procurement such as joinery, stone and furniture runs alongside approvals and site works, and the installation it feeds waits for it.
The durations are typical starting points, not a promise for any particular job. Edit task names, dates and links in the spreadsheet before you import it, or change them in Milesto afterwards. Keep the column headers as they are and one row per activity, so the import maps everything automatically.
Dates are calendar days, so weekends and holidays are not skipped. Adjust for your working days after import.
One sheet with a header row and one row per activity. The Start date and End date columns are real Excel dates, the Predecessor column lists the IDs of the activities that must finish first, and the Notes column lists typical deliverables for each activity. It opens in Excel and other spreadsheet apps that read .xlsx files.
Import the template, then track progress, the critical path and earned value as the job moves. Start on the Free plan, no credit card needed.
